What will all your investments add up to?
Shares and ETFs, a workplace pension, cash savings, crypto — each grows at its own pace. My investment plan adds them together and shows what you could have in 20 years, in today’s money and with an honest range.
One answer at the top
No forms with dozens of fields. You see the final amount first, then what it is in today’s money, the range between weaker and stronger years, and how much you paid in versus what the returns added.
By 2046 you will have
£167,000
£102,000 in today’s money · range £124,500 – £221,500
Built from your own investments
Already tracking your accounts in Assetli? One click turns your brokers, crypto, pension and savings accounts into parts of the plan — each saying where the number came from. Or start from a template or a blank plan.
Parts of the plan
- ISA — global ETF£118,000
- Workplace pension+£2,800 employer adds£34,000
- Easy-access savings£15,000
Two numbers per part, the rest is optional
For each part you say how much is in it and how much you add. Growth is chosen by nature — cautious, moderate or optimistic — not by guessing a percentage. Fees, yearly increases, when contributions stop and employer contributions sit under “More options”.
A planning assumption, not a promise or a historical average.
A helper that explains, not sells
Rules, not a sales pitch, spot what matters: savings losing to inflation, a fee that costs you thousands over the years, a volatile part carrying too much of the plan, what waiting a year would cost. If you set a goal, it tells you how much more a month would close the gap.
Insights
Below inflation
Savings at 2.5 % are below expected inflation of 3 % — in today’s money they lose value.
The cost of waiting
Starting contributions a year later would leave you ~£5,800 worse off.
Your currency, your plans
The plan follows the currency in your settings and the inflation of your market. Save several versions — “Retirement 2050”, “Children” — and open them on the web or in the app.
Three ideas behind every plan
Compound interest
Returns earn returns. That is why the early years of contributing matter more than they seem.
Glossary →Today’s money
A million in 20 years will not buy what a million buys today. The plan always shows both figures.
Glossary →Fees (TER)
A fee of 1 % a year looks small, but over decades it takes a noticeable share of the result.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the investment strategies calculator?
The strategies calculator compares variants and picks the best one. My investment plan adds up what you actually own and contribute to, part by part, and shows the total.
Where do the expected returns come from?
They are planning assumptions, not forecasts or historical averages: for shares and ETFs Cautious 4 % · Moderate 6 % · Optimistic 8 %. You can always enter your own number.
Does the plan include tax or state top-ups?
The plan shows values before any tax on selling and does not calculate tax. Employer contributions you enter are included; state top-ups are only calculated where we have verified rules.
Can I use another currency?
Yes. The plan uses the currency from your settings, and values from your accounts are converted at current rates on the server.
Is it investment advice?
No. Assetli is an educational tool working with your own data. It never recommends specific products.
