In Assetli go to your profile menu → AI connection (MCP) and copy the connection URL.
Add it in your AI
Paste the URL into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini as a custom connector, log in through the secure screen and pick your profile.
Just talk
Ask about your money, add transactions, or drop in a bank statement — all in natural language.
Frequently asked questions
Which AI assistants can I connect?
Any client that speaks the MCP protocol — Claude (web, desktop, mobile, Claude Code), ChatGPT via connectors, and Gemini (CLI/Enterprise). You connect once and pick the Assetli profile you want.
Is it safe to connect my finances to an AI?
Yes. The connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so your password is never shared — only a revocable token. By default the AI can only read; writing is a separate permission, every write is previewed before it's saved, and every action is logged.
What's free and what needs a paid plan?
Reading all your data is free on every plan. Writing (adding transactions, trades, readings, editing budgets) and bank-statement import are part of the Premium plan.
Does importing a statement work like in the app?
Exactly the same. The AI hands your CSV to Assetli's own parser and import — identical duplicate detection and transaction IDs — so nothing gets imported twice.
Can I import CSV if I already use automatic bank sync (WBB)?
Not on the same account. Mixing CSV import with Wallet by BudgetBakers sync on one account would create duplicate transactions and wrong balances (each side uses its own IDs), so Assetli blocks it — both on the web and through the AI connection. Import the CSV into a separate account, or first disconnect WBB and remove its transactions from that account.
