Teen profile

A profile for a teenager inside the parent's account: what is different, how the allowance works, and what the first-job guide deliberately does not do.

Last updated: September 16, 2026

A teen profile is an ordinary profile inside your account with the “teenager” flag set. There is no separate login and no account sharing: the parent switches to the profile like to any other, and the teenager’s accounts, transactions, budgets and goals are isolated from the parent’s by the same profile boundary as everything else.

What is different

  • The dashboard opens with three entry points aimed at a first job: the guide to a first paycheck and its taxes, the learning journey, and the glossary.
  • Everything else works as in any profile: accounts, imports, budgets, goals, subscriptions, the AI assistant.

Allowance

Switch on the allowance in the profile settings with an amount and a day of the month (1 to 28). On that day an income transaction is created on the profile’s default account, or on its first active account if no default is set. It is created at most once per month; if the profile has no account, nothing happens. The transaction updates the balance like any other and is tagged as an allowance, so it can be told apart in statistics.

The allowance is created for every teen profile of the account, regardless of which profile the parent currently has open.

The first-job guide

The guide explains three general principles: the taxpayer declaration, withholding tax and its refund through a tax return, and the thresholds from which social and health insurance apply. It contains a checklist for a first paycheck and links to the authorities.

It deliberately contains no tax calculator, no amounts and no rates beyond stable facts. Rates change every year and a wrong number in a teenager’s first contact with taxes is worse than none. This is a decision, not a gap.

Limits

Profiles count against the plan limit: 1 on Free, 5 on Premium, 15 on Max.
